Land Grant Review/Resources

In the early part of 2002, Cornell initiated a comprehensive, substantive review of the university’s land-grant mission in the twenty-first century. Five panels of faculty, staff, and Board of Trustee members charted directions for the future. A presidential commission oversaw and coordinated the work of the panels, addressed cross-cutting issues related to the land-grant mission of Cornell, and re-assessed the implications of this review for Cornell as a private university with a public mission.
