Background
The College of Veterinary Medicine proposes the use of the title ‘Professor of Practice’ to recruit and retain outstanding faculty with significant, high-level experience in veterinary medicine, public health, medicine, or biomedical or other sciences.
The Resolution
Whereas
the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) describes its plan to use the title professor-of-the-practice in this document;
Whereas
this plan is consistent with the enabling legislation for this title;
Be it resolved
that the Faculty Senate recommends to the Provost that the CVM be allowed to use the professor-of-the-practice title.
