The Office of the Dean of Faculty is seeking your input for nominees for the following elected, leadership positions for Cornell faculty members that will be voted on by the faculty in Spring 2018:
1 trustee position; 4 year term as a trustee and ex officio voting member of the Senate.
Faculty-elected trustees serve as a full member of the Board of Trustees for Cornell University.
1 slot for a current Senator; 1 slot for a non-Senator; 3 year term.
This committee sets the Senate agenda and meets frequently with the Provost and President to represent the views of the faculty to the administration.
2 slots; 3 year term.
This committee works to identify qualified and interested individuals to serve on a broad variety of standing and ad-hoc committees and to coordinate elections.
2 slots for tenured faculty; 3 slots for non-tenured tenure-track faculty; 3 year term.
At-large Senators are elected from the faculty as a whole, rather than through individual units, but otherwise serve as normal Senators.
If you would like to nominate someone or would like to be considered for any of these positions, please contact email@example.com with your suggestions by Friday, March 16.
All names submitted will be reviewed by the Nominations and Elections committee in preparation of a final slate of candidates to be presented in Spring 2018 for election.
