We are aiming to completely revise the current faculty handbook during 2017-18.
Many topics in the current faculty handbook also show up in the OHR document Cornell Academic Titles and Appointments Policy, the Cornell Policy Library, and the Operating Principles of the University Faculty (amended over the years since 1973). There are many inconsistencies and broken links.

Our goal is to clean up this scene so that faculty (and department chairs and administrators) have a consistent and easy-to-use resource that helps them do their jobs. In this regard there is a lot to learn from faculty handbooks. at peer institutions.
A preliminary step in this process is to convert some of the key policy pdfs into html and to assemble the resulting webpages into a logically organized and conveniently linked rough draft.
