Academic Freedom and Professional Status of the Faculty

Nine members of the faculty appointed with the concurrence of the Faculty Senate by the Nominations and Elections Committee for three‐year terms.

Academic Programs and Policies

One lecturer/senior lecturer with voting privileges, selected annually by the Dean of Faculty in consultation with the appropriate lecturer/senior lecturer association. Reselection of a lecturer/senior lecturer for a second year shall be permitted.

ADW Selection Committee

Nine other faculty members appointed by the President for staggered three-year terms upon the recommendation of the Nominations and Elections Committee with the concurrence of the Faculty Senate after consultation with the past selection committee.

Educational Policy Committee

The Committee on Educational Policy consists of nine members of the University Faculty, appointed by the Nominations and Elections Committee, for three‐year staggered terms.

Faculty Advisory Committee on Athletics and Physical Education

Nine members of the faculty, appointed with the concurrence of the Faculty Senate, by the Nominations and Elections Committee for three-year terms.

Faculty Advisory Committee on Tenure Appointments

The committee will be composed of fifteen tenured faculty members, one elected by the professorial faculty in each college and five nominated by the University Faculty Nominations and Elections Committee and appointed by the Faculty Senate.

Faculty Committee on Program Review

[Probably must have tenure.]

Financial Policy Committee

Eleven members of the faculty, appointed with the concurrence of the Faculty Senate, by the Nominations and Elections Committee for three-year terms.

Music

It consists of the Professor of Music and four members of the Faculty who serve four year terms.

University Benefits’Committee

Library Board

 Twelve members of the faculty appointed for four-year terms by the President with the advice of the Nominations and Elections Committee and the concurrence of the Faculty Senate. Such faculty members shall be chosen in such a way as to represent the special library interests of the various disciplines.

University Lectures Committee

Seven members of the Faculty appointed by the President upon recommendation of the Nominations and Elections Committee, with the concurrence of the Faculty Senate, for terms of four years.

ROTC

Six faculty members, appointed with the concurrence of the Faculty Senate, by the Nominations and Elections Committee, the Commanding Officer of each military service offering instruction at the University, two administrators appointed by the President of the University and seven students.
