The Resolution

WHEREAS the University will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the granting of its charter by the State of New York on April 27, 2015;

WHEREAS on that morning there will be a convocation, including an academic procession led by visitors from around the world, featuring speeches by President Skorton and the Governor of New York, among others;

WHEREAS, these events will involve the University community, including undergraduate and graduate students;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that classes will be cancelled on Monday, April 27, 2015, from 8:00 AM to 1:10 PM to allow the University community to celebrate this historic occasion.
